Circle of Seven and Greg Kluempers Exhibitions to open June 17 at Framations
Free Reception on Friday, June 17 from 6-8 pm. The exhibit will continue through July 21.
The Circle of Seven is a group of seven women brought together by artist Natalie Fleming. Once a month they gather at Natalie's to paint, share ideas, discuss trends in art, explore new techniques, and enjoy each others company. Their styles are as different as they are but their goals are similar. They are passionate about their painting and work together to expand their knowledge and perfect their skills. This exhibit features the work of Diana Saffo Bono, Virginia Dragschutz, Jessica Dreyer, Natalie Fleming, Crystal Goldkamp, Annette McGarrahan, and Nancy Young.
Also on display at Framations from June 17 - July 21 will be an exhibit of photography by Greg Kluempers. In Gallery Two, the exhibit entitled A Decade of Images, will display Kluempers' love of both landscapes and structures. In his words: "My work explores the relationship of forms, textures and color in the everyday world. Many of my images are extractions from an old building, a distorted reflection, an architectural detail and the juxtaposition of adjoining buildings. I use these to create abstract geometrical images."
Framations will also be hosting a Blood Drive on June 17 from 3-6 pm with the help of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and their Donor Bus. All donors will receive a $10 Framations Gift Certificate. Call to schedule an appointment or visit the website for more information.
