St. Louis Artists’ Guild Presents The 35th Annual Young Artists’ Showcase
An Opportunity for Students to Show Their Art in a Professional Gallery

Opening Reception: Friday, April 8, 2011, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Exhibition Dates: April 8, 2011 - May 7, 2011

The Young Artists’ Showcase is an all media exhibition of local high school students’ artwork. All students between the ages of 15 and 19 years old and living within 150 miles of the St. Louis Artists’ Guild are eligible to enter. Among schools represented in past Young Artists’ Showcase exhibitions are DeSmet Jesuit High School, Nerinx Hall High School, Bishop DuBourg High School, MICDS, St. Louis University High School, Clayton High School, Ladue Horton Watkins High School, Webster Groves High School, Bayless Senior High School, Soldan International High School, and the Parkway and Hazelwood School Districts.

The Young Artists’ Showcase encourages and supports the artistic talents and creativity of a wide segment of young, emerging artists in the St. Louis community. Traditionally, many artists have experienced their first opportunity to exhibit in a professional gallery space through the St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s Young Artists’ Showcase. The exhibition is part of the St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s commitment to promote and encourage young artists in pursuing a future in the visual arts. Tuan Nguyen is the juror of the 2011 Young Artists’ Showcase.

The St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s galleries are located at #2 Oak Knoll Park in Clayton, Missouri. Oak Knoll Park is near the intersection of Big Bend Boulevard and Clayton Road; the park’s entrance is on Big Bend. Gallery hours: Noon - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday - Sunday.
