Jamaa, Swahili for family, recognizes the importance placed on community in African American culture. While many of us are used to celebrating black history in February, the goal of our show is to focus on what’s happening now. Jamaa will feature works from the area’s most talented artists in an effort to showcase this integral part of our city’s diverse community.
Come visit us for our Opening Reception, see the work of some great local artists, listen to the sounds of musical guest Raw Earth, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
