Morton J. May Foundation Gallery: Thursday, 13 March 2008

Maryville University's Morton J. May Foundation Gallery is pleased to present the second of the BFA Studio Art Exhibitions. A Marriage of… Materials, Mediums, and Memories is an exhibit by artist Allison Bruenger. The exhibit runs March 10 - 14 with a reception Thursday March 13, 6-9pm.

Memories of the first time you kissed your first love, remembering the time you spent with your siblings at Christmas, or the way your mom and dad smiled from ear to ear at your graduation. These are just some of the memories that help shape who you are as a person and as an artist. "A Marriage of... Materials, Mediums, and Memories" is a collection of visions from the past with concepts from the present. This show is a combination of material and disciplines that use metals, ceramics and mixed media. Even though these mediums are wonderful on their own, together they lend themselves to create ways to explore nature, beauty, and memories that stir up emotions and inspire joy in the viewer.
