Framations Art Gallery: Friday, 26 July 2013

Framations Art Gallery presents two new exhibits set to open Friday, July 26. The Main Gallery will feature the work of Bella Arts Group, artists who live and display their work in the Rolla and St. James areas. These exceptional artists work in a variety of mediums, including graphite, oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramics, colored pencil, and pastels. Their impressive skills have earned some national accreditations and many have won awards for their work.

Gallery Two will feature an exhibit called "Into the Wild: The Art of Ken Farris". Farris garners his inspiration for this exhibition from his enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors. Having grown up in the small town of Eldorado, Illinois, Ken harken's back to childhood memories shared with his Father of spending time boating and fishing at the Eldorado city reservoir, a lake that had retained most of its shoreline in a  natural, pristine state. His fondness for painting nature grew from these memories.  Ken's memories of those long ago times have stayed with him and continue to fuel his love for the great outdoors.

Both exhibits begin with an opening reception on Friday, July 26 from 6-8pm and will continue through August 29. In addition to these exhibits, Framations also hosts more than 20 resident artists on an on going basis.
